It was pretty cold out tonight, around 11F. Regardless of the temperature, I pulled out all my cold weather gear, suited up and plopped myself down in a pile of snow in the backyard. I setup the camera and sat waiting, taking the occasional picture for about an hour while the moon was slowly eclipsed. I put the images together into two sets. The first is an image of the moon being eclipsed, the second is the color of the eclipse. I used my old manual focus Nikon 300mm lens with a 1.4x teleconverter on my Nikon D80.
